A Daily Victorious Christian Life

May I share with you what I have been studying and meditating on?  It's about how to live the Christian life as I should every day. I have been reminded that I should not be trying to live for the Lord, but by faith I should be allowing Him to live His life in and through me. When Christ died on the cross, was buried and rose again the third day, He made possible not only a salvation that results in the forgiveness of sin, and eternity with Him, but also a victorious Christian life down here.
My study opened my eyes to the fact that I had been allowing circumstance, feelings, people and a myriad of other things to control my daily life. I learned that instead of allowing should them to influence how I lived, I should be allowing the resurrected Lord who lives inside of me through His Holy Spirit and the promises in His word to be controlling my daily life.
In Hebrews 13:5, He promised never to leave me, nor forsake me. In Psalm 23, He is pictured as my Shepherd who will meet all of my needs. In Philippians 4:6-7, He tells me that I do not have to be anxious for anything, rather through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, my heart and mind can be kept in His peace. In Psalm 46, He is my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. I had not been living my daily life by a faith that counted on His presence all the time to help me in every detail of my life.
Every day is a challenge or choice to live by the promises of God, count on His Presence, and allow Him to do in and through me what only He can do. If I allow Him to work in my life as He chooses, people will be able to see in my life what only God can do and that's what they need to see. Seeing Him and knowing Him is of eternal importance, seeing me and knowing me is not. May God help me and you to live this way.
